    Submission to Dail Joint Committtee on Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement Final 2018

     

    Co-I Professor Kieran McEvoy’s submission to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement concentrates on legacy issues, with a particular focus on the use amnesties and statutes of limitations, national security provisions and the proposal for a pension for those seriously injured as a result of the conflict.

    Dealing with the Past in Northern Ireland: A Proposed Model for Information Redaction under the Stormont House Agreement

    Co-I Professor Kieran McEvoy’s paper outlines a proposed model for information redaction under the Stormont House Agreement.

     

    It suggests an independent judicial mechanism that could make determinations on
    balancing the state’s responsibilities to protect people, with the truth-recovery related
    rights of families affected by the conflict.
