Dr Cheryl Lawther has been invited to speak at the University of Warwick on 25 November on ‘Emotions and the moral grammar of transitional justice’.
Drawing on her expertise on dealing with the past and truth recovery, her paper will consider the role of emotions, specifically loyalty on ex-combatants attitudes to dealing with the past. Her paper will draw on fieldwork with loyalist ex-combatants in Northern Ireland.
